Carnale Magazine asked for something closer to a mood than a story. The result is a short editorial film of blurred silhouettes and shifting light, a meditation on identity and sensuality that keeps its subjects at a tantalising distance.
The shots were already there. The question was how far to take them. The director had a clear sense of the imagery but was open on the treatment, so I tried a range of distortions until one felt right: enough to pull the figures out of the real world, not so much that they vanished. The edit then followed its lead, unhurried and deliberate.
